Shlomit Fundaminsky is a freelance creator and dance teacher. In 2005 she won the Minister of Education and Culture Award for Young Dance Creators. She holds a B.Ed. degree from the Kibbutzim College of Education Dance Program, has studied in the Tel Aviv University multidisciplinary arts program as well as physical theatre in the Body Theatre School. She teaches contemporary dance, improvisation and creation. In 2005 she won second place in the 10 Masdansa international dance solo competition in the Canary Islands with her piece "Inner Pocket", which she created for Curtain Up in 2004. In April 2005, for the opening of the 25th anniversary celebrations of "La Maison De La Danse" theatre in Lyon, France, she performed in an evening shared with the Belgian choreographer Wim Wandkaibos. In 2007 she created the movement for "Hebron", a Habima National Theatre-Cameri Theatre of Tel Aviv co-production. She danced with the Noa Dar Dance Company and in the works of choreographer Nimrod Freed. She is a member and co-artistic director of the Octet improvisation group.
