It’s better if I don’t see with one eye, in short.
Dance theater performance by and performed by: Michal Gers Sherman
Inspired by an article that aired on Kan 11 about Noa Zeevi.
The show is about memory.
How is memory formed? What does it consist of? Through which senses is it absorbed and what does it leave in us?
Noa Ze’evi, a recruit sergeant who was shot in the head on October 7 and woke up only two weeks later. What does she remember from that moment? How was her memory shaped? The journey of processing this memory moves between a private experience and a collective experience following the events of October 7.
In the show, I try to convey a sense of fragments of information that connect into a complete picture and examine them with varying repetition. In this way, the recurring memories and the historical loop in which we are trapped are reflected alongside an experience of processing and observation.
Noa Zeevi’s optimistic nature accompanies the show and reflects on its existence.
Consulting and support: Noa Inbar Yaron.
Costume consultation: Rosie Canaan.
The show is supported by the New Havatzelet Foundation and the Yoav Regional Council.
Performed in “Shanler Ravdim”, at the Yoav Regional Council’s memorial ceremony, at the “Home Theater”.
