Shlomit Fundaminsky
Dancer, independent choreographer and dance teacher. Member of Israel’s Choreographers’ Association. Since 2001 performing locally and internationally with her works. Specializes in Release Technique, Improvisation and Performance.
Founded, directs and conducts Shlombal – an annual training course for dance, improvisation and performance studies at Suzanne Dellal.
Artistic director of the 2015/17 Shades in Dance festival at the Suzanne Dellal Center, Tel Aviv.
Conducts release and improvisation classes for Fresco Dance Company and Inbal Dance Company; Teaches release and choreography, at the High Academy of Dance in Jerusalem; Conducts advanced training for teachers throughout the country; founder and manager of the Just improvisation workshops.
Dances in the Octet improvisation group.
Awards, Scholarships and Festivals
Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Israel. Received the Encouragement for Creation support from Teva. Winner of the Ministry of Culture for a promising choreographer award. Work grants on behalf of Mifal Hapayis Lottery Art council, scholarships on behalf of AICF America-Israel Cultural Foundation. Support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel.
Received 2nd place with the solo “In the Inner Pocket” at the international solo works competition Masdanza, in the Canary Islands.
Opened the 25th anniversary celebrations of the La Maison De La Danse Theater, in a joint evening with the Ultima Ves Company, in Lyon, France.

Education and Teaching
Studies for a Master’s Degree in choreography.
Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance at the Kibbutzim College of education,
Multidisciplinary Art Studies at Tel Aviv University
Physical Theater Studies at the School of Physical Theater, Tel Aviv.
Created a movement for the play “Hebron”, a co-production of Habima and The Cameri directed by Oded Kotler. She danced with the Noa Dar Group and in the work of choreographer Nimrod Freed. She danced at the Orna Porat Theater for Children and Youth.
